Baked by Benita is operate by Benita Gomez. I have worked as a Chef, Pastry Chef and Chocolatier, caterer, gardener, and food stylist. I have spent thousands on schooling yet nothing compares to the moments in the garden, the memories of myself as a child daydreaming amongst the bell peppers looking at the bees. or the calmness found in kneading dough. The moments in solitude connecting to the gift and the giver, while cherishing the moments in kinship celebrating and nourishing oneself and community.
I am deeply driven and passionate about art, anthropology, design, food, politics and theology. Each one an important part of my mental galaxy.
